BSc course, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spring, 2024
This course introduced key statistical models for biological data analysis, focusing on experimental design and regression models. Students learned to apply fundamental statistical techniques, interpret results, and utilize statistical software. Topics covered included ANOVA for single and multi-factor designs, linear and multiple regression, model diagnostics, and advanced regression extensions. Emphasis was placed on both theoretical understanding and practical application through software-based analysis.
BSc course, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Fall, 2024
This course covered fundamental statistical methods for experimental data analysis. Topics included descriptive statistics, probability models, random sampling, point estimation via the method of moments and maximum likelihood, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing, including p-values and goodness-of-fit tests. Emphasis was placed on good practices in statistical inference, and the relationship between confidence intervals and hypothesis testing, equipping students with essential analytical skills for empirical research.
